All About Mantovani Portraits
Drawing has always been part of my life. From as early as I can remember, holding a pencil in my hand has felt very natural. The desire to create art has become an unyielding obligation to myself to explore the inner mechanism of my creative consciousness. From small sketches to intricate detailed drawings, my art is a highly-personal reflection of myself.
I started drawing portraits professionally when I was working in a stepping-stone retail role in 2012. I drew one of my co-worker's dogs as a gift, then before I knew it, I suddenly had multiple requests for pet portraits.
In 2013, I began working in an art gallery, where I continued my art on the side, creating personal portrait commissions. It wasn't until the death of one of my all-time icons, Carrie Fisher, that I decided to start drawing tribute portraits of iconic movie characters. They were my most popular work and have continued to be my focus to this present day.
I am now a full-time English teacher and still creating art for everyone to enjoy. I hope you enjoy my work.
